Participating students must currently be in grades in Kndg – 12th.
Teams vs Single Student – students are allowed to participate in the science independently or in a team of 2-4 students working on a single project.
Below you can find some key dates to prepare for the Virtual Science Fair. Check in with the NOBCChE team for tips on choosing a topic, project development, virtual presentation skills, guidance on virtual project submissions, and platform navigation during the Science Fair.
NOBCChE will post weekly videos to assist students in navigating each individual aspect of the science fair presentation. Videos will be posted weekly in the NOBCChE library located here. There will be a live Q&A session to accompany each topic to engage in live time assistance and advice throughout the course of preparation.
Students will record their virtual presentations prior to the event. Video links will be reviewed by judges and followed up with questions and inquiries during your scheduled presentation time. During the event, participants will be scheduled for a presentation time to log on and join the presentation room.
A distinguished panel of judges with expertise in various STEM fields will evaluate projects based on creativity, scientific rigor, and presentation skills. Judging criteria and guidelines can be viewed using the following links:

Outstanding projects will be celebrated in a virtual awards ceremony, with categories such as Best Innovation, Best Presentation, and Overall Excellence.
Winners will receive certificates and awards to commemorate their achievements.
